The Laredo Lemurs outlast the El Paso Diablos in high-scoring affair, 13-8

Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Friday as the Laredo Lemurs (15-18) outscored the El Paso Diablos (7-26) 13-8.

The two teams combined for 31 hits in the game.

Jimmy Mojica racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Laredo Lemurs. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the first and fifth innings.

It was a good day at the plate for the El Paso Diablos' Enrique Cruz. Cruz went 4-5 and scored three runs. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the third, seventh, and ninth innings.

Matt Way recorded his fourth win for the Laredo Lemurs even though he allowed five runs over six innings. He struck out five, walked none and surrendered nine hits.

Juan L. Peralta couldn't get it done on the rubber for the El Paso Diablos, taking a loss. He allowed nine runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked five and struck out two.
