The Laredo need walk-off single to beat the El Paso, 6-5

A walk-off single from John Allen brought home the winning run for the Laredo (11-16) in a 6-5 victory over the El Paso (6-21) at Uni-Trade Stadium on Thursday.

Allen racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Laredo. He singled in the first and ninth innings.

Jimmy Rohan hit two home runs for the El Paso. Rohan went 2-3 in the game with three RBIs and two runs scored. Rohan homered in the fifth and sixth innings.

The Laredo scored three runs in the first inning to build an early lead.

Anthony Scelfo reached base four times in the game for the Laredo. He singled in the first, fifth, and seventh innings.

Chaz Roe recorded his first win of the year for the Laredo. Roe struck out two, walked none and gave up one hit.

Ronny Morla was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
