Josh Pressley brought home the winning run to give the Sugar Land Skeeters (40-50) the lead in the seventh inning, as the Sugar Land Skeeters hung on to beat the Somerset Patriots (44-46) 5-4 on Wednesday.

The Sugar Land Skeeters would not relinquish the lead as the Somerset Patriots were unable to weather a two-run seventh inning deficit.

The Somerset Patriots scored one run in the eighth on a passed ball. Still, the Somerset Patriots couldn't draw even.

The Sugar Land Skeeters' Lane was perfect at the dish, going 2-2. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth inning.

The Somerset Patriots couldn't get anything going as long as Jeff Farnsworth was on the mound. Farnsworth held the Somerset Patriots hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Taylor Sinclair was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just zero innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
