Joe Holden collected three hits, helping the Somerset Patriots (38-39) to a 4-2 victory over the Long Island Ducks (42-34) on Thursday at Bethpage Ballpark.

The Somerset Patriots relied on Sean Green to eat up innings en route to the win. Green allowed two earned runs, seven hits and no walks while striking out three over eight innings of work.

Bob Zimmermann handled the Somerset Patriots' lineup with ease, racking up eight strikeouts. Zimmermann allowed three earned runs on seven hits and two walks over nine innings.

Zimmermann ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year.
