The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (23-21) beat the York Revolution 10-3 on Monday at Sovereign Bank Stadium after an eight-run explosion in the first inning.

Brian Barton racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. He homered in the first inning and singled in the second and fourth innings.

Virgil Vasquez got the win, running his season record to 4-1. He allowed two runs over six innings. Vasquez struck out two, walked three and gave up four hits.

Jesus Sanchez (1-3) took the loss for the York Revolution (20-23). He allowed six runs in zero innings, walked three and struck out none.
