The York Revolution get late runs to finish off the Bridgeport Bluefish, 7-1

The York Revolution (12-17) took home a 7-1 victory over the Bridgeport Bluefish (16-15) on Monday at Harbor Yard, fueled by three runs in the eighth inning.

Michael Hernandez helped the York Revolution take the lead for good in the sixth inning. Liu Rodriguez singled to start the sixth. He then went from first to second on a single by Ramon Castro. Finally, Hernandez came to the plate with the game scoreless in the sixth inning and tripled, plating Rodriguez and Castro.

Hernandez had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the fourth inning, tripled in the sixth inning, and singled in the eighth inning.

Yunior Novoa recorded his first win of the year for the York Revolution. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Tobi Stoner (1-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 6 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed four runs.

The York Revolution's Rodriguez, Hernandez, Brandon Haveman and James Shanks combined for 10 hits and six RBIs.

The York Revolution stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the sixth, scoring two runs on a two-run triple by Hernandez.
