An ace performance by Justin Cassel carried the Somerset Patriots (14-13) to a 4-0 win over the Camden Riversharks (12-15) on Friday at TD Bank Ballpark.

Cassel struck out nine, paving the way for a the Somerset Patriots win. The Somerset Patriots' pitcher tossed seven innings of shutout ball and allowed only four hits.

Jonny Tucker racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Somerset Patriots. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Marquez Smith went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for the Camden Riversharks. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Kevin Reese was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed four runs.

The Somerset Patriots built upon their lead with three runs in the fifth. A clutch steal of home scored Lou Santangelo to open the scoring in the frame. That was followed up by Tucker's double, bringing home Santangelo and Rex Rundgren.
