The York Revolution fend off the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs' late push, hold on 7-6

The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (13-14) weren't able to overcome the big hole they dug themselves into against the York Revolution (9-16), and the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs lost 7-6 to the York Revolution after falling behind by five runs in the fourth inning.

The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs scored four runs in the sixth on a two-run double by Paco Figueroa, an RBI single by Mike Daniel, and 2s. Despite their efforts, the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs couldn't get over the hump.

Ramon Castro went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the York Revolution. He homered in the first inning and singled in the third and seventh innings.

Figueroa had a hot bat for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. Figueroa went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

Corey Thurman got his second win for the York Revolution despite allowing five runs over five innings. He struck out four, walked two and surrendered six hits.

Michael Schlact couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out two.

The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs jumped out to an early lead in the top of the first, scoring two runs on one hit. The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs then tacked on more runs when Espinosa scored on an RBI single by Matt Padgett.

The York Revolution stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the second, scoring two runs on a two-run home run by James Shanks.

The York Revolution built upon their lead with four runs in the fourth. A clutch error scored Michael Hernandez to open the scoring in the frame. That was followed up by Salvador Paniagua's double, plating Shanks and Danny Gonzalez.
