The River City Rascals fend off the Windy City ThunderBolts' late push, hold on 6-4

The Windy City ThunderBolts (26-18) were never able to get over the hump and get over their troubles against the River City Rascals (25-21) on Friday, as the Windy City ThunderBolts fell 6-4 at Standard Bank Stadium after falling behind by four runs in the seventh inning.

The Windy City ThunderBolts scored on a solo home run by Brandon Decker in the seventh inning and an RBI single by C.J. Gillman in the ninth inning. Unfortunately, the Windy City ThunderBolts weren't able to take the lead back.

Charlie Lisk racked up two RBIs on one hit for the River City Rascals. He homered in the third innings.

The River City Rascals relied on Nick Kennedy to eat up innings en route to the win. Kennedy pitched eight innings and allowed two earned runs, four hits and no walks while striking out two.

Decker was hot from the plate for the Windy City ThunderBolts. Decker went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run.

Tyson Corley (0-5) took the loss for the Windy City ThunderBolts. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
