The Road Warriors (5-13) outlasted the Washington Wild Things (33-44) on Sunday after five lead changes, squeaking out a 4-3 win at CONSOL Energy Park.

The Road Warriors held off the Washington Wild Things, as the Washington Wild Things were unable to overcome a two-run eighth inning deficit.

The Washington Wild Things scored one run in the eighth on an RBI double by Andrew Heck. Despite their efforts, the Washington Wild Things couldn't finish the comeback.

Ryan Kaup boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 2-2 day at the plate to pace the Road Warriors. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Tyler Vaske brought the heat against the Washington Wild Things during his outing. The Washington Wild Things managed just two hits off of the the Road Warriors' pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out one during his five innings of work.

Jared Christensen improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Road Warriors. He allowed one run over two innings. Christensen struck out four, walked none and gave up two hits.

Alfonso Yevoli was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
