The Normal CornBelters pulled out the win thanks to a strong seventh inning. A fielder's choice scored Steven Felix and gave the Normal CornBelters the lead for good.

The Normal CornBelters staved off the River City Rascals as the River City Rascals were unable to match the Normal CornBelters down the stretch.

The River City Rascals scored two runs in the eighth on a two-run error. Despite their efforts, the River City Rascals couldn't finish the comeback.
