The London Rippers outdone by Moldenhauer and the Lake Erie Crushers, 8-3

The Lake Erie Crushers (41-32) beat the London Rippers (25-35) 8-3 on Wednesday at All Pro Freight Stadium behind Russell Moldenhauer, who knocked in five runs.

He singled in the third inning and homered in the fifth inning.

Mark Samuelson reached base three times. He scored one run and had two RBIs. He homered in the sixth inning.

Matt Sommo had an impressive outing against the Lake Erie Crushers' lineup. Sommo gave up just three hits, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his 3 2/3 innings of work.

Trevor Longfellow improved to 6-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Lake Erie Crushers. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out three, walked three and surrendered three hits.

Yohan Gonzalez couldn't get it done on the mound for the London Rippers, taking a loss. He allowed eight runs in four innings, walked five and struck out four.
