The Florence Freedom make the most of 8 hits in 6-4 victory over the Lake Erie Crushers

Both the Florence Freedom (17-13) and the Lake Erie Crushers (12-18) put runners aboard on Tuesday, but it was the Florence Freedom that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 6-4 win at All Pro Freight Stadium.

The Florence Freedom staved off the Lake Erie Crushers as the Lake Erie Crushers were unable to match the Florence Freedom down the stretch.

The Lake Erie Crushers scored on an RBI double by Russell Moldenhauer and a sacrifice fly by Kellen Kulbacki in the fourth inning and a two-run double by Andrew Davis in the ninth inning. Unfortunately, the Lake Erie Crushers weren't able to take the lead back.

Chris Curley racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Florence Freedom. He singled in the first innings, doubled in the fourth inning, and homered in the seventh inning.

Sean Gregory improved to 3-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Florence Freedom. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered six hits.

Eric Gonzalez-Diaz ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
