The Traverse City Beach Bums (52-28) pounded the Joliet Slammers (35-45) on Wednesday 9-1 at Wuerfel Park.

A three-run home run by Marcus Nidiffer delivered the runs in the seventh. The Traverse City Beach Bums had four hits in the inning.

Nidiffer racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Traverse City Beach Bums.

The Traverse City Beach Bums got the win thanks in large part to Brooks Belter's dominant, six-strikeout performance. Belter allowed one earned run on three hits and two walks over five innings.

Eric McGee had a hot bat for the Joliet Slammers. McGee went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fifth inning.

Steven Maxwell was charged with his eighth loss of the year. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked one and struck out two.
