Sunday was a great day for Chad Mozingo, as he clubbed two home runs to carry the Schaumburg Boomers (44-34) to a 10-7 victory over the Traverse City Beach Bums (50-28) at Wuerfel Park.

K.C. Judge delivered a big hit off the bench in the nine.. His pinch-hit single was the key moment in the Schaumburg Boomers' three-run win.

With the Schaumburg Boomers trailing by one, Judge came to the plate and singled, plating Drew Heithoff.

The Schaumburg Boomers were in a difficult situation in the ninth inning before they recovered for the win.

Frank Pfister was solid at the plate for the Schaumburg Boomers. Pfister went 3-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the third and ninth innings.

Joe Parsons recorded his third win of the year for the Schaumburg Boomers. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered no hits.

Scott Mueller was charged with his fifth loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed five runs.

The Schaumburg Boomers' Steve McQuail, Mozingo and Pfister combined for eight hits and eight RBIs.
