The Schaumburg Boomers uses big second inning to beat the Windy City ThunderBolts, 13-3

The Schaumburg Boomers (46-35) rolled over the Windy City ThunderBolts (47-33) 13-3 on Thursday at Schaumburg Baseball Stadium after an eight-run rally in the second inning.

Steve McQuail racked up five RBIs on three hits for the Schaumburg Boomers. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fourth and sixth innings.

The Windy City ThunderBolts couldn't get anything going so long as Joe Parsons was on the hill. Parsons held the Windy City ThunderBolts hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Robby Donovan recorded his ninth win of the year for the Schaumburg Boomers. He allowed two runs over six innings. Donovan struck out five, walked five and gave up five hits.

Dustin Williams ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his sixth loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 1 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out one.
