Cole Lavergne went 2-2, sparking the Nevada Big Horns (13-16) to a 6-3 victory in seven innings over the South Bay Storm (18-10) on Friday at North Tahoe Park.
He doubled in the second innings and singled in the fifth inning.Nick Simonian struck out six, paving the way for a the Nevada Big Horns win. Simonian allowed one earned run, three hits and three walks over six innings.
Josh Cohen (3-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
