The White Sands Pupfish (10-13) didn't stand a chance on Thursday, as the Roswell Invaders (13-8) captured a blowout 16-5 win at Joe Bauman Park.

The Roswell Invaders scored seven runs in the eighth on the Roswell Invaders scored in the eighth on an RBI single by Bryce Skelton, a wild pitch, an RBI single by Christian Johnson, , , and a two-run single by Cody Bishop.

Cody Coffman put himself in scoring position with three extra-base hits for the Roswell Invaders. He doubled in the third and fourth innings.

The White Sands Pupfish couldn't get anything going so long as Lance Fairchild was on the hill. Fairchild held the White Sands Pupfish hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Dubal Baez racked up two RBIs on three hits for the White Sands Pupfish. He tripled in the second inning and singled in the first and fifth innings.

Blake Oliver improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Roswell Invaders. He allowed four runs over six innings. Oliver struck out four, walked two and gave up seven hits.

Rob Rizzitelli couldn't get it done on the mound for the White Sands Pupfish, taking a loss. He allowed eight runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked four and struck out four.
