Phil Madonna went 4-4 at the plate, sparking the Elmira Pioneers (23-11) to a 9-4 victory over the Geneva Red Wings (8-25) on Wednesday at McDonough Park.

Andrew Sipowicz picked up the win for the Elmira Pioneers. Sipowicz allowed one earned run, six hits and one walk while striking out three over six innings of work.

The Geneva Red Wings' Max Goione was perfect at the dish, going 3-3. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the third and sixth innings.

Andy Reed (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked two and struck out three.
