Beau Welborn went 1-3 and hit a home run, helping the Garden City Wind (38-24) to a 4-3 victory over the Great Bend Boom (19-43) on Saturday at Al Burns Field.

Connor Kelly racked up eight strikeouts in the the Garden City Wind win. Kelly allowed one earned run on three hits and one walk over six innings.

Jonathan Tasis boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 2-2 day at the plate to pace the Great Bend Boom. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Matt Marino was charged with his fifth loss of the year. He lasted just seven innings, walked six, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
