An ace performance by Connor Kelly led the Garden City Wind (31-23) to a 7-2 win over the Great Bend Boom on Monday at Clint Lightner.

Kelly's eight strikeouts were enough to push the Garden City Wind past the Great Bend Boom (18-34). Kelly allowed two earned runs, four hits and two walks over nine innings.

Clay Ardeeser had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He singled in the first and third innings and doubled in the fifth and eighth innings.

Matt Marino (2-4) took the loss for the Great Bend Boom. He allowed seven runs in six innings, walked 10 and struck out six.

Manny Colon, Joey Cecere and Ardeeser helped lead the Garden City Wind. They combined for seven hits and four RBIs.
