The Tucson Saguaros (42-13) beat the Alpine Cowboys (26-28) 11-5 on Sunday thanks to a four-run eighth inning.

The Tucson Saguaros scored in the eighth on an RBI single by Jesse Baker, an RBI single by Jimmy Heck, , and a hit by pitch.

Heck racked up four RBIs on four hits for the Tucson Saguaros.

Daniel Diaz handled the Alpine Cowboys' lineup with ease, racking up seven strikeouts. Diaz allowed two earned runs on five hits and no walks over five innings.

Matt Henriksen racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Alpine Cowboys. He singled in the first and sixth innings and homered in the seventh inning.

Aaron Smith improved to 2-3 on the year by picking up the win for the Tucson Saguaros. He allowed three runs over one inning. Smith struck out one, walked none and gave up three hits.

Ryan Richardson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
