Offenses dominate as the Tucson Saguaros outscore the Santa Fe Fuego 17-11

The bats were busy at Fort Marcy Park on Tuesday, and when the dust cleared the Tucson Saguaros (33-11) had a 17-11 win over the Santa Fe Fuego (10-33).

The two teams combined for 29 hits in the game.

The Tucson Saguaros stamped out any hope for the Santa Fe Fuego with six runs in the third.

Ryan Retz racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Tucson Saguaros. He homered in the first inning, doubled in the fourth inning, and singled in the eighth inning.

Roby Romero brought the heat against the Santa Fe Fuego during his outing. Romero held the Santa Fe Fuego hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two.

Tyler Herr recorded his first win of the year for the Tucson Saguaros. He allowed three runs over three innings. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered two hits.

Harold Rosario (0-5) took the loss for the Santa Fe Fuego. He allowed nine runs in three innings, walked five and struck out three.

The Tucson Saguaros pounded the Santa Fe Fuego pitching, as seven hitters combined for 12 hits, 13 RBIs and 13 runs scored.
