The Trinidad Triggers (11-4) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 9-6 to the Topeka Train Robbers (3-8) on Monday.

Even though Nick Hernandez allowed six runs over 4 2/3 innings he still recorded the victory, his first of the season. Hernandez struck out five, walked seven and gave up eight hits.
Eric William ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
