The Tucson Saguaros (12-3) beat the Alpine Cowboys (6-6) 9-5 on Sunday at Warren behind Ryan Retz, who collected three hits.

Steven Borkowski's six strikeouts helped the Tucson Saguaros to the victory. Borkowski allowed one earned run, six hits and five walks over seven innings.

Clayton Truex reached base three times in the game for the Alpine Cowboys. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the eighth inning.

Michael Fitzwater couldn't get it done on the mound for the Alpine Cowboys, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked six and struck out none.
