The Skagit Valley (14-10) and the Olympic (8-14) both had scoring chances on Sunday, but it was the Skagit Valley that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 4-3 win at Skagit Valley.

Nick Bruton allowed one earned run, six hits and two walks while striking out four over six innings of work.

Ernesto Parra was solid at the plate for the Olympic. Parra went 3-4 and scored one run. He singled in the fifth, seventh, and ninth innings.

Brad Johnson improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Skagit Valley. He allowed two runs over 2 2/3 innings. Johnson struck out none, walked one and gave up four hits.

Zak Reitze (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just eight innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
