Steve Marino drove in three runs, sparking the Southern Illinois Miners (30-12) to a 4-1 victory over the Traverse City Beach Bums (15-28) on Friday at Wuerfel Park.

Dyllon Nuernberg's six strikeouts helped the Southern Illinois Miners to the victory. Nuernberg allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks over seven innings.

Dylan Stoops ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
