Martin's ground out propels the South Bay Storm past the Fairfield Indians, 8-4

Three first-inning runs helped the South Bay Storm (17-9) to an 8-4 win over the Fairfield Indians at Alan Witt Park on Thursday.

The South Bay Storm scored in the first on a groundout by Connor Martin, an RBI double by Isaiah Todd-Fitzhugh, and an RBI single by Jason Marley.

Vinny Margiotta reached base three times in the game for the South Bay Storm. He scored two runs and had two RBIs. He doubled in the second inning.

Jett Gallagher improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the South Bay Storm. He allowed three runs over six innings. Gallagher struck out five, walked two and gave up 11 hits.

Paul Campise (0-1) took the loss for the Fairfield Indians. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out five, and allowed five runs.
