The Top Speed Baseball (33-4) shut the door early on the South Bay Storm (19-15), capturing a 15-2 victory on Sunday at CSU East Bay.
Six runs in the first three innings allowed the Top Speed Baseball to put the game away early.A single by Mitch Guilmette, a double by Chris Miguel, an RBI single by Cody Erickson, an RBI single by Erickson, a single by Jack Dennis, a passed ball, a groundout by Cesar Rodriguez, a sacrifice fly by Kyle Schmidt, and a solo home run by Nick Rau in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Top Speed Baseball.
Miguel racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Top Speed Baseball.
Chrit Rudkin racked up seven strikeouts in the the Top Speed Baseball win. Rudkin allowed no earned runs on five hits and two walks over five innings.
TJ Conroy was hot from the plate for the South Bay Storm. Conroy went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He tripled in the first inning and singled in the third and fifth innings.
Dalton Grisell was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed 10 runs in four innings, walked one and struck out one.
