Joey Krug went 1-1 and hit a home run, helping the Nevada Big Horns (21-24) to a 6-3 victory over the Sacramento Heat (17-29) on Tuesday at McAuliffe Field.
He singled in the seventh inning.The Sacramento Heat couldn't get anything going as long as Matt Longland was pitching. Longland held the Sacramento Heat hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.
Justin Kottinger (4-5) took the loss for the Sacramento Heat. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
