The Nevada Big Horns (13-16) jumped out to an early lead on the Sacramento Heat (9-19) and captured a 12-2 victory on Wednesday at Golden Eagle Park.

The game was decided quickly as the Nevada Big Horns exerted their will early with seven runs in the first three innings.

An RBI single by Justin Mannens and an RBI double by Kyler Brudwick in the first inning and an RBI single by Nolan Dempsey, , and a solo home run by Zachary Muenster during the second inning supplied the early offense for the Nevada Big Horns.

Muenster racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Nevada Big Horns.

Nick Simonian racked up eight strikeouts in the the Nevada Big Horns win. Simonian allowed one earned run on three hits and two walks over six innings.

Karsten Lee (0-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked four and struck out five.
