The Gateway Grizzlies (19-20) beat the River City Rascals (19-18) 9-5 on Saturday at CarShield Field behind Seth Heck, who collected three hits.
He homered in the first inning and singled in the fifth and sixth innings.Trevor Richards struck out eight hitters en route to the the Gateway Grizzlies win. Richards allowed two earned runs on six hits and two walks over six innings.
Robby Enslen was solid at the plate for the River City Rascals. Enslen went 3-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the fifth, sixth, and ninth innings.
Jason Ziegler was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked none and struck out three.
