Keita Hirose went 2-2, sparking the Palm Springs Chill (7-4) to a 4-2 victory in seven innings over the Canada A's (9-4) on Saturday at Palm Springs Stadium.

He singled in the first inning and doubled in the third inning.

Tyler Pearson racked up nine strikeouts in the the Palm Springs Chill win. Pearson allowed two earned runs, two hits and three walks over six innings.

A bright spot for the Canada A's in the defeat was Tj Pruneda, who allowed only one run while striking out six.

Stephen Butt (1-2) took the loss for the Canada A's. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
