DeBellis' double propels the New York Colonials past the Alberta Grizzly, 5-2

The New York Colonials (6-4) built an early lead against the Alberta Grizzly (6-5), scoring four runs in the first inning, en route to a 5-2 win on Thursday at Palm Springs Stadium.

The New York Colonials scored in the first on a two-run double by Alex DeBellis, an RBI single by Jalen Harris, and a steal of home by Keenan Chanin.

DeBellis had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits.

Michael Tamburino's nine strikeouts helped the New York Colonials to the victory. Tamburino allowed no earned runs, four hits and two walks over four innings.

Adam Picard racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Alberta Grizzly. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fifth and seventh innings.

Connor LeBlanc (1-3) took the loss for the Alberta Grizzly. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
