Martinez stars as the Top Speed Baseball defeat the California Bees, 24-1

Matthew Martinez hit three home runs to carry the Top Speed Baseball (45-4) to a 24-1 win over the California Bees (14-30) at Drake High in seven innings.

Martinez racked up six RBIs on three hits for the Top Speed Baseball. He homered in the first, third, and sixth innings.

Nick Rau delivered a big hit off the bench in the one.. His pinch-hit double was the key moment in the Top Speed Baseball's 23-run win.

With the Top Speed Baseball trailing by one in the first inning, Rau came to the plate and doubled.

Rau racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Top Speed Baseball.

Sixteen runs in the opening three innings allowed the Top Speed Baseball to easily put away the California Bees. A three-run home run by Martinez in the first inning and an RBI single by Ryan Whitt, a three-run home run by Drew Taylor, a three-run home run by Mitch Guilmette, and a solo home run by Cody Erickson during the second inning helped the Top Speed Baseball put some runs on the board early.

DJ Milam improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Top Speed Baseball. He allowed one run over four innings. Milam struck out two, walked one and gave up four hits.

Sam Davison (0-1) took the loss for the California Bees. He allowed 11 runs in two innings, walked two and struck out three.

The Top Speed Baseball easily handled the California Bees pitching as seven hitters combined for 21 hits, 22 RBIs and 20 runs scored.
