A great effort by Matt Clark lifted the Atwater Aviators (19-19) to a 6-0 win over the California Bees (11-23) on Friday at Fireman's Memorial Ballpark.
Clark held the California Bees scoreless during his nine innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on five hits while ringing up eight.
The Atwater Aviators blew out the California Bees thanks to eight hits, including zero extra base hits. The Atwater Aviators scored three runs in the seventh on the Atwater Aviators scored in the seventh on an RBI double by Victor Tiscareno, a sacrifice fly by Dalton Beatty, and an RBI single by Colt Parshall.
Tiscareno had two extra-base hits for the Atwater Aviators.
Colby Morris (3-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out six, and allowed three runs.
