Taylor Oldham went 2-5 and hit a home run, helping the Florence Freedom (8-23) to a 5-3 victory over the Gateway Grizzlies (14-19) on Saturday at GCS Ballpark.

The Gateway Grizzlies couldn't get anything going so long as Davis Adkins was on the hill. The Gateway Grizzlies managed just one hit off of Adkins, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.

Blake Brown paced the Gateway Grizzlies at the plate. Brown went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the ninth inning.

Cody Gray recorded his first win of the year for the Florence Freedom. He allowed two runs over five innings. Gray struck out two, walked one and gave up three hits.

Will Landsheft was charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
