The Schaumburg Boomers (13-14) and the Windy City ThunderBolts (17-10) both had scoring chances on Sunday, but it was the Schaumburg Boomers that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 6-3 win at Standard Bank Stadium.

Jordan Dean racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Schaumburg Boomers. He singled in the fifth innings.

Scott Schultz picked up the win for the Schaumburg Boomers. Schultz allowed two earned runs, seven hits and one walk while striking out three over seven innings of work.

Tim Zier was hot from the plate for the Windy City ThunderBolts. Zier went 3-5 and scored two runs. He singled in the first and third innings and doubled in the ninth inning.

Mitchell Cody couldn't get it done on the hill for the Windy City ThunderBolts, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked two and struck out five.
