Nolan Earley racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Southern Illinois Miners. He tripled in the third inning and homered in the sixth inning.

Vincent Molesky (1-1) took the loss for the Gateway Grizzlies. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out eight, and allowed four runs.
