Foss allows no runs to lead the Washington Wild Things past the Evansville Otters 8-0

Trevor Foss held the Evansville Otters (14-8) scoreless for six innings to boost the Washington Wild Things (10-10) to a 8-0 victory.

Foss allowed four hits, one walk and struck out nine.

Five runs in the opening three innings allowed the Washington Wild Things to easily put away the Evansville Otters. An RBI double by David Popkins and a groundout by Ricky Rodriguez during the first inning and an RBI single by Alex McKeon, an RBI double by Jamal Austin, and a groundout by Jimmy Yezzo in the second inning helped the Washington Wild Things put some runs on the board early.

Austin had two extra-base hits for the Washington Wild Things.

Derrick Penilla was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed five runs.

Austin, Popkins and Yezzo helped lead the Washington Wild Things. They combined for nine hits and six RBIs.
