Tuesday was a great day for Trevor Foss, as Foss struck out eight batters to carry the Washington Wild Things (9-6) to a 4-1 victory over the Normal CornBelters (4-12) at The Corn Crib.
Grant Fink reached base three times in the game for the Washington Wild Things. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the third inning and homered in the sixth inning.
Horacio Acosta pitched lights out for the Normal CornBelters. Acosta held the Washington Wild Things hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four.
Chris Carmain couldn't get it done on the mound for the Normal CornBelters, taking a loss. He lasted just seven innings, walked two, struck out nine, and allowed four runs.
