Ben Waldrip drove in three runs, sparking the Gateway Grizzlies (8-6) to a 6-2 victory over the Florence Freedom (5-8) on Saturday at GCS Ballpark.
He singled in the fourth inning and homered in the eighth inning.The Gateway Grizzlies relied on Sasha Kuebel to eat up innings en route to the win. Kuebel pitched six innings and allowed no earned runs, four hits and no walks while striking out four.
Zach Isler (1-1) took the loss for the Florence Freedom. He allowed six runs in eight innings, walked none and struck out one.
