The Gateway Grizzlies (5-5) and the Normal CornBelters (2-8) each put runners in scoring position on Tuesday, but the Gateway Grizzlies capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 5-4 win at GCS Ballpark.

Logan Davis had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He singled in the second and fourth innings and doubled in the first and sixth innings.

Matthew Chavarria allowed one earned run, four hits and one walk while striking out four over six innings of work.

Vincent Molesky improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Gateway Grizzlies. He allowed four runs over seven innings. He struck out eight, walked none and surrendered 11 hits.

Chavarria couldn't get it done on the mound for the Normal CornBelters, taking a loss.
