The Everett second-inning burst enough to top the Edmonds, 9-2

A seven-run explosion in the second inning spurred the Everett (29-11) to a 9-2 win over the Edmonds (23-13) at Everett Memorial Stadium on Sunday.

The Everett scored in the second on an RBI single by Andrew Ivelia, an RBI single by Tate Budnick, , a three-run double by Tanner Arrington, and an RBI double by Bryce Peterson.

Peterson had two extra-base hits for the Everett.

Lucas Jungmann picked up the win for the Everett. Jungmann pitched six innings and allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks while striking out four.

Spencer Greene had a hot bat for the Edmonds. Greene went 3-4 and drove in one. He singled in the sixth, seventh, and ninth innings.

Christian Miller couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Edmonds, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in two innings, walked one and struck out none.

The Everett were sparked by Arrington and Peterson, who teamed up for five hits and five RBIs.
