Nolen Legan was cold coming off the bench, but Legan warmed up quickly as Legan stroked a key pinch-hit single in the one to lead the Klamath Falls Gems (7-5) to a 15-1 win over the California Bees (5-10) on Thursday at Kiger Stadium.

With the game scoreless in the first inning Legan came to the plate and singled.

Legan led the Klamath Falls Gems' offensive threat, as he got on base six times in the game. He scored one run and had three RBIs.

The Klamath Falls Gems continued to pile on the runs until the end of the game. The Klamath Falls Gems scored seven runs in the last three innings to finish off the blowout win. The Klamath Falls Gems scored four runs in the seventh on the Klamath Falls Gems scored in the seventh on a hit by pitch, a two-run double by Legan, and a sacrifice fly by Ryan Mendoza.

Dakota Weindell picked up the win for the Klamath Falls Gems. Weindell pitched eight innings and allowed one earned run, nine hits and one walk while striking out two.

Wilson Miles (0-2) took the loss for the California Bees. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked six, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
