The Olympic outlast the Douglas in extras, 5-4

It took 11 innings, but the Olympic (16-21) managed to put away the Douglas (5-21) 5-4 on Sunday at Whalley Little League Park .

With the score tied at four in the eleventh inning,, plating Collin Palau.

Austin Amundson racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Olympic. He singled in the first, eighth, and eleventh innings.

Trey Dennis allowed two earned runs, four hits and three walks while striking out two over eight innings of work.

Jay Kim was hot from the plate for the Douglas. Kim went 2-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third inning.

Zak Reitze recorded his first win of the year for the Olympic. He allowed one run over three innings. Reitze struck out four, walked none and gave up three hits.

Brett Sakaki was charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed one run.
