An outstanding effort by Brian Way lifted the Edmonds (15-5) to a 2-0 win over the Shoreline (5-15) on Saturday at Triton Field .
Way held the Shoreline scoreless during his nine innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on six hits while ringing up two.
Jesse Moore had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He tripled in the fourth inning and doubled in the eighth inning.
A bright spot for the Shoreline in the defeat was Sam Boone, who allowed only two runs while striking out five.
Boone ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year.
