The Lower Columbia (27-8) scored five runs in the fifth to cap a 12-5 win over the Centralia (13-19) on Sunday.
Cameron Campbell boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 5-5 day at the plate to pace the Lower Columbia. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the second, fourth, seventh, and eighth innings.
The Centralia couldn't get anything going as long as Anthony Garcia was pitching. The Centralia managed just two hits off of Garcia, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out two during his six innings of work.
Nate Gardner had a hot bat for the Centralia. Gardner went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fifth inning.
Alex Torson improved to 6-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Lower Columbia. He allowed four runs over two innings. Torson struck out none, walked two and gave up five hits.
Brandon Olson was charged with his fourth loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out three.
