The Lower Columbia make the most of 12 hits in 7-6 victory over the Edmonds

The Lower Columbia (13-7) and the Edmonds (15-5) each put runners in scoring position on Friday, but the Lower Columbia capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 7-6 win at David Story Field.

Garrett Myers boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 3-3 day at the plate to pace the Lower Columbia. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the second and fourth innings.

Jake Malone put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Edmonds. He doubled in the first and fifth innings and singled in the sixth inning.

Taylor Davis recorded his first win of the year for the Lower Columbia. He allowed one run over 2 2/3 innings. Davis struck out two, walked one and gave up four hits.

Brian Way ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
