A five-run explosion in the second inning spurred the Linn-Benton (5-4) to a 9-1 win in seven innings over the Concordia JV at Concordia Univ on Friday.

The Linn-Benton scored in the second on an RBI single by Colton Cosner, a single by Andy Arruda, , a two-run double by Jack Bauer, and a single by Jordan Thompson.

Bauer racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Linn-Benton.

The Concordia JV had no answer for Ian Scott, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Concordia JV managed just one hit off of the the Linn-Benton's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out one during his six innings of work.

F Dodd was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked three and struck out five.
